Carlos Arias, Director, CEO, Principal
A seasoned business manager, engineer, and consultant, Carlos has led the Bainbridge organization to continued growth and success since 2001. Carlos supports client initiatives through strategic leadership and business development, and specializes in supply chain optimization, process reengineering, technology analysis and implementation, and mergers and acquisitions. He has spearheaded the Bainbridge Internal Excellence Initiative which has taken client satisfaction and results to new levels of performance in the investment banking and consulting markets.
Carlos attained a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University and dual Bachelors of Science degrees, in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering from Lehigh University.
Nick Chini, Managing Principal, Director Business Development
As a senior management consultant and investment banker, Nick has over seventeen years of experience conducting strategic management consulting and M&A advisory. Over ten years with Bainbridge, Nick has analyzed more than 500 product and service companies, covering 200 markets for strategic planning, competitor and market analysis, operations improvement, divestitures, acquisitions, recapitalization, and financial valuation. Nick's client list spans a variety of industries and includes top Fortune 500 corporations and private equity groups.
Nick holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Lehigh University.
Sanjay Joshi, Managing Director
Sanjay has served in top management positions at some of the world's best performing outsourcing companies, having helped them in their transformation to become worldwide leaders and fundamentally reshape the global Information Technology (IT) services industry. His experience includes senior leadership positions at leading companies such as Wipro Technologies, Infosys Technologies, FreightWise, and McKinsey & Company.
Sanjay holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, a Masters of Science in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from BIT, India. He is also a graduate of the Oxford-Georgetown joint program in International Management.
Alison Gerlach, Managing Director, Management Consulting
Alison is a successful investor, business executive, strategic management consultant and lecturer with expertise in and passion for building businesses. Her prior experience includes her role as a strategic management consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton specializing in supply chain management, business process redesign, and revenue building strategies for Fortune 100 companies. In addition, she has experience in overseas investment banking specializing in M&A and new product development. Alison has also built a thriving strategic management consulting practice that advises both large and start-up companies on developing and implementing optimal new product development and growth plans. Alison is a frequent lecturer to both business and academic audiences on entrepreneurship, optimizing business building and growth strategies, conflict management and aligning incentives.
Alison graduated at the top of her class at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), earning an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and economics from Cornell University.
Ken Wagner, Ph.D., Practice Group Leader, Professional Athlete Due Diligence (PADD)
Dr. Wagner is a seasoned corporate consultant in the area of strategy formulation with expertise in research methodology, corporate culture and design. He is currently the spearheading the development of Bainbridge's Professional Athlete Due Diligence (PADD) service for major sports franchises. He has conducted extensive analysis of private and non-profit organizations across the globe.
Dr. Wagner is a former Professor of Sociology from Hamilton College having lectured on topics including the research process for organizational development and employee satisfaction. He has authored books and articles on the process of research and effective writing and has had extensive experience mentoring and teaching undergraduates.
Dr. Wagner attained his Ph.D. and Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Wittenberg University.
Earl Scudder, J.D, M&A Specialist
Earl has completed over 300 acquisitions, divestitures, IPO's and recapitalizations serving as negotiations expert, legal counsel and business advisor. Earl has over 35 years of experience in small- to mid-cap divestitures including work for Cano Petroleum and the energy and transportation sector. Earl is the lead M&A specialist at Scudder Law Firm, a world- class M&A-oriented team. A well-respected corporate attorney who advises to companies on matters of mergers and acquisitions, stock offerings, recapitalizations and refinancings, partnerships, business strategy and business law, Earl brings deal structure and financial strategy expertise to Bainbridge.
Earl has served on numerous boards of directors of private sector businesses, and is currently on the board of several publicly traded corporations. Earl has been an instructor of Corporate Finance at Drake University and a lecturer on Legal Writing at the University of Nebraska College of Law. Earl received the 1993 Distinguished Service Award from the University of Nebraska Alumni Association.
An accomplished attorney and negotiator, Earl holds the Jurist Doctorate Degree from the University of Nebraska Law School.
Jared Moss, Senior M&A Manager, Corporate Counsel
Jared joined the Bainbridge team from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) where he was part of the firm's State and Local Tax Group. His experience at PwC included assisting Fortune 500 corporations with issues of restructuring, nexus, apportionment, and credits and incentives.
While attending the University of Oregon School of Law, Jared served on the Managing Board of Oregon Law Review and also worked for the Oregon Department of Justice where he assisted in all phases of case preparation regarding unfair trade practices, racketeering, and antitrust claims against small and large corporations. In addition, Jared was a Fellow with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and University of Oregon's Office of Technology Transfer preparing feasibility studies, commercialization schedules, and intellectual property licensing agreements.
Jared holds the Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Oregon School of Law and graduated with a Bachelors in Science in Economics from the University of Utah.
